Actors Pierce Brosnan and Chace Crawford have signed on to play a father and son in The House Gun for Lucky Monkey Productions.
The project is based on the novel by Nobel Prize-winning author Nadine Gordimer. The story centers on a wealthy South African family, whose lives are turned upside down when the son (Chace Crawford) is arrested on a murder charge. The father (Pierce Brosnan) is convinced of his son's professed innocence and hires a black lawyer to try the case. The story is set in post-Apartheid South Africa, but a specific year was not given.
No production schedule was given for The House Gun at this time. An anonymous insider revealed that financing for the picture is still being worked out.
