When Pierce Brosnan came, he chose not to take the shuttle from the top entrance down the winding fynbos path to sea level, preferring instead to make the trip on foot.
Guess he has a rugged image to maintain. But it's not every day James Bond comes to visit, so the staff were impressed when they saw him walk through the door.
Few others would have witnessed it , because Tintswalo Atlantic is about as private as it gets on Cape Town's popular coast. But then again, it's not everybody's destination. A night in one of the 12 suites, each named after an island - Corsica, Zanzibar, Lamu, Robben, etc - will set you back about R3500 a head. That includes everything except premier-brand wine and spirits and French champagne.
