We’ve already brought you several posters promoting the upcoming action film, Percy Jackson and The Olympians: The Lightning Thief, and now we’ve got two more. These are character banners that feature Uma Thurman as Medusa and Pierce Brosnan as Chiron. Both characters are very well known throughout Greek Mythology and will be portrayed a little differently than what we’re used to seeing…
Percy Jackson and The Olympians centers on Poseidon’s half human son, who sets out on a quest in present-day America to rescue his mother, return Zeus’ stolen lightning bolt and prevent a civil war from erupting among the gods. Three character banners have already been released for Percy, Annabeth and Grover and now we have one for Medusa and Chiron, but there’s one problem.
In the poster for Medusa it cites her name as Hera, which is an obvious typo. The role of Hera will be played by Erica Cerra, and even though this poster is in another language you can see that error a mile away. Medusa’s head wrap is a dead giveaway of what she’s hiding on her scalp, and the shaggy look of Chiron is an obvious shout out to his half horse roots.
