Brosnan was retired as Bond when but the Irish actor had no problems with Craig taking over.
The new Bond says he approached Brosnan at an awards show weeks before he landed the role and asked him for the OK to proceed if he got the part. And while there are several reports of Brosnan being none-too-happy about no longer filling 007's shoes, Craig says that he received Pierce's blessing before he even got the role.
